Thomas C. Sullivan, Jr. was elected vice president of corporate development in October 2007. He joined RPM’s corporate office in 2003 as director of corporate development. Previously, Thomas had served the company in various technical service, sales and executive management positions for five different RPM subsidiaries from 1987–2003, including Republic Powered Metals, Consolidated Coatings, ESPAN Pte. Ltd/RPM Asia Pte. Ltd., and Tremco Incorporated. Thomas was responsible for opening RPM’s first office in the Asia Pacific marketplace, as well as for the integration of the Tremco international business unit. Prior to joining RPM in 1987, he was a wholesale marketing representative for Armstrong World Industries.
Thomas serves as a board member for Sullivan Scholars, the Thomas C. Sullivan – Sandy Sullivan Charitable Foundation, and the Restoration Committee for St. Patrick's Church in Cleveland, Ohio. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
He is the grandson of the late Frank C. Sullivan, founder of RPM; son of the late Thomas C. Sullivan, RPM's former chairman and chief executive officer; and brother of RPM's current Chairman and CEO Frank C. Sullivan. He and his wife Mary reside in Bay Village, Ohio, and have three daughters and two sons.
